Hey Eastern Washingtonians! Wanapum Dam Drawdown?

I heard about the crack in the dam last week. Looks like the drawdown for repairs has dropped the water level about twenty feet. Link to article I've only found this one picture on the web so far...

So they didn't back up water at an upstream dam, they are opening the spillways on Wanapum?
