Yes, this is a dam on the Columbia River. Not found even on a small dam like Wanapuam could cause failure down stream of other larger dams. Glad to see they found it before spring run off.
I have heard about a lot of garbage including a couple sunken boats have shown up.
They found a body yesterday!
Paper today had an article about what they are doing. They said there is actual water flowing through the 90 foot thick concrete spill. The draw down is just a start. They are calling in specialist to determine if it can be repaired or they have to remove two spill ways.
They are borrowing a mini-submarine from Chelan County to get better pictures and look at it closer.
This could be a problem for a couple years!

Just to be clear:

This isn't yer regular lake/reservoir...it's the water behind a dam on the Columbia River (one of the biggest rivers in North America).

That shoreline hasn't been seen/exposed since the dam went online in 1964!
