We have made the run from the Smoky Mtns down thru Birmingham on many a trips. Cloudland Canyon and Desoto are always high on our list to visit when we are in this area. Cheaha Resort off of I20 outside of Talladega is also high on our list of special places... Too many nice special places in the high country of ALA, GA, and NC to list haha...

Have never ventured North of Birmingham on I65 to the BANKHEAD NATL FOREST. Sounds like something we should look into...
