How's the road noise? Looks like the sites are close to the road and there's no barrier.

Try Cascade Lake outside of Brevard, NC. Run by the Cradle of Forestry, nice place on a small lake. Make sure and get a site by lake as they are full hookup.

Check the KOA's in Cherokee, Asheville, Boone and Fancy Gap Virginia (just across the NC line on the Blue Ridge Parkway). There are also several Jellystones (Cherokee & Lenoir). Mile High Campground near Cherokee has been getting some good reviews, but there are no hook ups. There are several Federal campgrounds on the Blue Ridge, but no hook ups. Stone Mountain State Park is a good one with water and electric.

I like the creekside sites at Creekwood Farm in Waynesville, NC near Maggie Valley. Close to Great Smoky Mtn NP.
