High season in Louisiana?

Tulane's homecoming won't event back up traffic at a light. Sorry Green Wave. Saint's home game will generate traffic but only a couple hours around the game. I wouldn't drive through Baton Rouge on a LSU home game if it's an SEC matchup unless you were hours off gametime.
In NOLA: WW II Museum is well worth a day. Aquarium of Americas is good as well. Of course plenty of food options worthy of a thread on its own. Shrimp or oyster po-boys, beignets, seafood gumbo.
From Fontainbleau or Fairview you could make a day trip into NOLA by crossing the Causeway Bridge. Drive down St. Charles. Grab a poboy somewhere and maybe a dessert and head back up. I'm sure you can google one day in NOLA.
