High season in Louisiana?

I agree completely, and nearby is Fairview Riverside State Park in Henderson, where we have also enjoyed staying.
Either park allows day trips to New Orleans.
Fairview Riverside is in Madisonville, not Henderson. It's about 5-10 miles West of Mandeville but I agree it's a great state park.
Fontainbleu and Fairview are less than 20 miles apart and completely different type parks. Hard to decide which is best. Guess you need to stay at both. :B
