Its a very nice RV park. If you don't fish or golf then all that is left to do is relax or go shopping. The traffic is horrendous in the high season. Be prepared for that. Lots of great restaurants on the island. There is Harbor town to go to but it cost you 5 dollars (at least it WAS 5 dollars a few years ago) to get into Sea Pines. Nice beaches to lounge around on and beach bars to belly up to.
Savannah GA is 45 minutes away and if you have never been there its worth the road trip, a lot of history and architecture, and there is historic Bluffton that is closer than Savannah. Not a whole lot to do if you are not a golfer really. If you are then you have died and gone to heaven if you can afford the greens fees.
When you get there the check in people will take you around the park in a golf cart for you to pick out your site. That is because the sites are privately owned and the park people have to be impartial so they make you pick out your site, they will not assign one to you. I don't believe the pet issue is a problem, just ask them when you check in.
