The wife and I seriously looked at retiring in HH. Went so far as to look at homes, stayed in the area for a few weeks at a time to get the "local" feel among other things and I AM SOOOO GLAD WE WOUND UP IN EAST TENNESSEE. We have seen HH evolve over the past 20 yrs into something I want nothing to do with. We were there last spring/summer for a few days and while I can attest to the high end resort ambiance of both parks there, the rest of the island is just insane traffic and mobs of people everywhere. I have nothing against folks who like that kind of "camping". It takes all kinds. Friends of ours have a class A and he hates parking on grass. Weight issues? I guess. This kind of park would be right up his alley. He is just too cheap to pay the rates. lol bless his heart.
