Hoh CG in Olympic NP

We're getting conflicting information about the length restrictions in the Hoh campground in Olympic NP. Does anyone know from first-hand experience whether a 30' MH can be accommodated?
  • We have day tripped into Hoh. I did take a look at the CG and found several that I thought would work for us. Been a few years and don't have the site #'s. The problem is that is is first come.

  • I wouldn't think so. It says 21' and while there may be one or 2 spots, its a very popular campground.
There are a couple of RV parks in Forks and LaPush and don't absolutely DON"T got to that area without stopping at Ruby Beach, a day use beach but the most photogenic place I have ever been.
  • We took our 24' MH with our 10' cargo trailer (14' with tongue) for a total of 38' and were able to and could have fit in multiple sites. Got there about 10:00AM on a Sunday in July and the campground was only about 10% full. It was great being able to camp there and walk all the trails without driving. Elk were wandering through the campground. Check this site out where you can look at pics of specific camp spots: http://thecampingview.com/show_album.php?album=/campgrounds/Hoh
  • There are some sites which will work but you will be limited. We were there about three weeks ago in a 29 ft fifth wheel. I got a pull through site. There were several others available. Get there early.
  • If you can't get in try Hard Rain Cafe and Rv. Pretty much at entrance to park. Only suggesting it as a close place to park for night while visiting Hoh Rain Forest. Not on my list of places to go back to but it worked for two nights.
  • There are several that you will fit into; but as others have said, it is "first come- first served." Hard Rain Cafe has several hook-up sites - nothing to brag about, but a place to park. Also, Minnie Petersen's DNR campground a mile or so below Hard Rain is a pretty little DNR campground, with no hookups, but nice level sites, and you should fit into most of them. It used to be free, but I think there is a nominal charge now. We used to camp there a lot, being from the area.
