We stayed there last summer for six nights. It is quiet and easy to get in and out of. Pictures are true to form. It is a bit off the beaten path but it is NOT on a mountain or difficult to get to. Shopping and restaurants are not far. He will tell you about a hole-in-the-wall restaurant for breakfast. My husband loved the liver mush for breakfast Yuk to me. What ever you do, DO NOT turn right and travel down the road and up to the parkway. It is not called Jacob's ladder for nothing. I called my kids while we were going up there on the phone to tell them if they never heard from us again, where we were. It was an awful climb for me. I would return if visiting the area again.
