How far south do you need to go for Christmas

Looking at next year, what would be a safe location for Christmas to have a good chance for moderate temps, 60-70's? Eastern US. Also, any suggestions of campground? Active 6 year old.

Well temps are in the 30's here in Upstate SC. Stay BELOW 1,000 feet or you might get snowed in (i'm at 800) For me. that's moderate. But then back in MI I've hit -40 a few times.

NO problem with freezing as I "Tank up" and disconnect. then use water from my heated on board tank.

Coldest I've ever seen is 11.. Again I had no problem (See above) park .. MAJOR issues. but I was ok.
  • When you no longer see snow plows in front of Lowes & see lawnmowers & grills you have gone far enough south.
  • You will not get the 60/70 temperature, but the middle to high 50s aren't bad. That's in Branson MO,lots to do even with a 6 year old. It would be worth checking out.
  • We had a beautiful Christmas(70's), shorts weather, but today it is raining and by this weekend it will be in the 40's. Weather changes every year can't tell you that it will be in the 70's next year, it may be in the 20's you will have to wait and watch the weather forecasts through out the year.
  • We've spent Christmas in the Southern parts of South Carolina a few times now. We flip between the Florida Pan Handle and South Carolina. This year we stayed home over Christmas week.
  • Central Florida or south Texas. Here in North Alabama it's in the 50's during the day and 30' to 40's at night. These temps make great campfire days though.
