We have 7 days reserved at FB, and plan to stay another 2-3 nights on the north side of Yellowstone. That's more time than most feel is necessary, but I feel if it's worth the drive, it's worth staying. Something we noticed on our last big trip is that those extra days that weren't "necessary" ended up being some of our favorite. Those are the days you do the unexpected!
