It's almost the same as owning a motorhome, if you can't afford to put fuel in it, you shouldn't have the motorhome. The expense of owning and looking after the house in the winter is part of the cost of being away or don't live there.

You do understand how silly the above sounds to most people. In the old days the motorhome sales people would say "if you have to ask how many MPG it get's, you can't afford to buy it." No I can afford the product easily, I just don't care to waste hard earned money unwisely because you have a poorly designed RV.
