Hunting Island State Park South Carolina

Hate to be the one with the bad news, but August has passed hot and the mosquitos are terrible so make sure you take you high DEET bug spray. If it's been a wet couple of weeks before you get there, they will be even worse.
Good news is the mosquitos are only in the back section as the wind usually keeps them at bay in the ocean side section.
Otherwise, it is a great place to visit and I love it though it has been a few years since we were there.
