- Alabama_JimExplorerStayed there last summer. You can read my review on RV Park Reviews dot com. We were very please with the campground.
- RoyBExplorer IIIf it is along the rivers I would call ahead and check... Everything flooded big time from the rains from KY to VA... Many flood related deaths reported in WV... I see FIRE FOX KOA is just West of a Saunders Creek and large MUD RIVER... Being situated right off of I64 you are probably going to find it in good shape. I do see the entrance to the KOA is off of US60. Didn't see anyway to get off the I64 road there at the KOA... Have to get off I64 at exit 28 I guess onto Johns Creek raod that runs into US60...
Good shot af the KOA using GOOGLE EARTH search. I even see the sharp turn the other poster made haha... It does look pretty sharp for a big RV setup...
Not sure how you guys get to WV but we also take I64 across the mountains from here in Virginia. I would also check around the Charleston WVA Area where I64 and US 60 run along the banks of the KANAWHA River... The I64 actually crosses the river at Charleston - might be flooded there as well...
they are all just now getting out to investigate all of the se areas...
Roy Ken - jnharleyExplorerWe have stayed there several times and now pass it by. It is very expensive, the sites are not level and very close together, and there are many long term campers. The last time we stayed there, the was no water but no reduction in the very high fee. If I remember correctly, there is a sharp turn to get onto the campground entrance road. Just my opinion.
- Chase_WVExplorerCampground is very far from the flooded areas. Should not have any weather related issues there
- DrbolaskyExplorerIf it's the one just outside of Milton, WV then yes, we've used it a couple of times for an overnight. Nice place. Quiet & well kept.
- Fred_n_JoExplorerWe have stayed there 17 times in the past 16 yeares as it is on our way for a visit with our daughter in MD. It is a great campground with good folks that manage it. our first time it was not a KOA but after the new management it has been improved and is a good layover. Don't worry about the sharp turn to enter the campground as it is not a problem for any RV.
Also while you are there a visit to the Blenko glass factory in Milton is a very nice tour of art/blown glass. - dblrExplorerNice campground but sites on the small side and as typical priced high but it is a KOA so more the normal for them.
- bigdon68ExplorerThanks everyone for your input. We called the KOA and they are west of the flood area with no problems.
We are headed there the first part of July and the forecast looks like it is going to be hot.
Thanks again. The Glass factory is definitely on our list of must see.
