I 35W

We came through there two weeks ago on Sunday morning. There was still construction and some backup but not bad. Traffic kept moving, just very slow. However further south around Lorena and Temple, traffic came to a screeching halt. We will be looking at alternate routes for the next couple of years.

Drove it yesterday afternoon, a Sunday. Have never seen such a big construction project in my life! It's 2-3 lanes from north side of Fort Worth Al the way to 287. Traffic wasn't backed up, but was solid.

Yes avoid I35W through Fort Worth. 2018 is what I have heard for completion.

We went up to Ft Worth from the RGV last weekend. We weren't up as far as 287 where the big project is so cant comment on that area. On Sunday we encountered a holdup north of Salado where long term construction has been going on. The lighted sign said Salado 8 miles 26 minutes but all traffic had to exit to frontage rd, about 1 hr delay. It looked like they were setting up a new traffic pattern. I would check the Texas highway info before your trip.

We drove it 3 weeks ago and there was a one hour back up and this was on a weekend. It looked like they had years to completion.
