I-75 RV Park in Tifton, Georgia

I've never stayed there, but it gets pretty good reviews on rvparkreviews.com.

I have stayed in Wal-Mart parking lots, Flying J parking lots and other campgrounds right off the Interstate and never had a problem with theft. I think the opposite of you, being right off the highway is too exposed and not a great place for a thief to bother. Quick get-a-way sure, but too many eyes watching.

I will be staying there tomorrow night, have heard good things from others who have stayed.
I talked to the owner on the phone a couple weeks ago and was a very nice gentleman. Let me know that they could make any arrangements we needed for late arrivals as they live close or on property.

If you want to stop an hour earlier, we like Twin Oaks RV park in Elko GA (closer to Perry).

We stayed there earlier this year and we were very satisfied with our stay. The manager and his family were very helpful and friendly. I think there are only about 15 sites and there is a small bath house/laundry that looks new. We would stay there again. Oh, we were able to wash our RV, a plus for fulltimers.

A little further down the road is Cecil Bay RV at I think Exit 32. All pull thru's right off i-75, extremely easy in and out with a family team that stayed late for me a couple of weeks ago.

I don't really understand the comment about being more susceptible to theft because of proximity to the interstate. If that was the case there would be very many unsafe campgrounds in this country which you just don't hear. Now noise that's another factor.

We stayed at Georgia Peanut RV Park next to Carroll's Sausage and Country Store. I believe it's exit 82. Check in at the store full hook ups $30 a night includes free breakfast in the morning over in the store. Great food and great sausage. Easy on off with level sites good power and water.

If you go a little farther south to Perry/Elko there is a park about 1/4 mi east called Twin Oaks. It is a Passport America Park and has pull thrus, pool, and a jacquzzi. About 3 to 3 1/2 hrs to Fl line. Very nice owners/mgrs and I think it is only $20 a night. Cant beat it.

Any of these would likely be a perfectly safe place to stay.. all have been there for a number of years (some have changed names/owners but are still there). This entire area from south of Macon into Valdosta is dependent on the I75 travelers and the business owners really work to cater to them. For many of those towns, they wouldn't be there (or still there) if they didn't have I75 coming through. Since the owners know they are dependent on travelers, they will do everything to make sure you are safe.

Another vote for Twin Oaks. They tell you to park, get settled, and then come to the office. Nice when you are old and tired.
