Never visited the state expect passing thru, so what is the best places, also will be bringing my boat along so lakes/rivers and good grub and beer joints will be needed for the whole 2 to 3 weeks of my stay.So many lakes in that state so I just don't know where to begin, also nighttime entertainment is a plus, I am not the kind to sit in my RV all day and watch TV. My toys I will be bringing along, heading out in about a week...:C

We spent 3 weeks up there a couple years ago. I was surprised by all the lakes in the west part of the state. We wanted to do Glacier but the GTS road was closed. We did the east side and then ran up to Banff for a week then came down on the west side and did that side of the park. Great state to explore. The eastern half is a bit bare tho.

Tim, there are many towns around the lake. I just did a TripAdvisor and out of 258 reviews just about everyone gave it a 5/top rating. We came in from the south on our way to West Glacier. Have fun.
