Very true. In college in the 70's I had summer jobs in campgrounds and parks. Was a park ranger on the Avenue of the Flags at Rushmore in '77. Answered hundreds and hundreds of questions during each 8 hour shift. One that still sticks out: "Ranger, where do they store the faces during the winter?" My straight-faced answer: " In the basement of the Visitor Center." His gullible reaction: " Did you hear that, Mabel? The Ranger said......." and they both walked on, satisfied.
We were in Yellowstone last September. I still shake my head when I witness tourists in action. Many/most of their smarts are on vacation as well.
