Guess a lot depends on the age of your teens and what they are into.
Some areas of interest:
In Pennsylvania, there's Ricketts Glen and World's End State Parks if your kiddos are in to hiking and being outdoors. You mentioned the Poconos, lots to do there, and there's also the Delaware Water Gap area. Further south, a lot of historical areas/sights to see in upper Bucks County PA, around Upper Black Eddy and Ringing Rocks. There's also the Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle in Doylestown PA
The Finger Lakes region of New York State. Lake Skaneateles was always a favourite of mine when I lived back East.
