Imperial Dam LTVA/ dust,dirt,sand in the rig?

Question

I'm thinking of going to the Imperial Dam LTVA near Yuma in December for about 3 months in a truck camper. Will my rig be covered in dust/dirt/sand after the three months? I'll have to camp within 500 feet of the bath house/toilet area as I don't have permanent waste tanks. Heard it's very windy there with the dirt and sand and grit blowing around.

Any time you're in unimproved areas you'll see dust, dirt and sometimes mud. Imperial is no different. To minimize it pick a location that is away from traffic, is upwind from any traffic, and is in the more graveled areas rather than dirt or dust. We try to spend a week or two at Imperial and another week at Quartzsite. definitely dirty, but a fun place for us.
