Imperial Dam LTVA/ dust, dirt, sand in the rig?

I'm thinking of going to the Imperial Dam LTVA near Yuma in December for about 3 months in a truck camper. Will my rig be covered in dust/dirt/sand after the three months? I'll have to camp within 500 feet of the bath house/toilet area as I don't have permanent waste tanks. Heard it's very windy there with the dirt and sand and grit blowing around.
  • Any time you're in unimproved areas you'll see dust, dirt and sometimes mud. Imperial is no different. To minimize it pick a location that is away from traffic, is upwind from any traffic, and is in the more graveled areas rather than dirt or dust. We try to spend a week or two at Imperial and another week at Quartzsite. definitely dirty, but a fun place for us.
