Indian Point Campgrounds in Duluth

Hey has anyone stayed at the above referenced campground? We just made reservation there for this coming July 4th weekend. Any good places to eat nearby, sites to see, Blues Bars in the vicinity, bicycle trails etc. Any ideas you have for places to go, things to see etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks,
  • We have stayed there several times. Nice, no frills place to stay. Everything worked even the wifi. Seems to have gotten a little pricey for what you get, but Duluth doesn't have a whole lot of choices.
  • I always love to stop for breakfast at the Sunshine Cafe, 5719 Grand Avenue. Lake Superior Zoo is right there by the campground. Don't miss the Duluth Pack store in Canal Park. Great Lakes Aquarium and North Shore Scenic Railroad. The Activities section of their website has a lot of options for things to do.

If you want a very good meal, it is a little 20 mile drive up to the New Scenic Cafe, 5461 North Shore Drive. http://www.sceniccafe.com/
  • we stayed at the Marina downtown. it's just past the drawbridge.
