Interstate 81 Campground suggestion
Heading to Pigeon Forge, TN from Long Island, NY in July. Can anyone suggest a nice campground that is right of Interstate 81 in Virginia. Only want to drive about 8 hours then do the rest the secon...

We recently spent 2 nights at the Natural Bridge KOA. The new owners have put a lot of work into the campground. We had a standard pull through and we had plenty of room for our 35 foot 5'er with slides. There are also premium sites with nice decks. The entire campground is surrounded by woods and there is no highway noise. Easy on, easy off I-81 and close to Natural Bridge if you want to do a little sight seeing while you are there.
About a 100 miles south of Natural Bridge on I-81 is Claytor Lake State Park. We often stay there when we are in the area. The RV sites in are large with water and electric. There are several pull through sites. The park is only about 5 miles off of I-81 so if you like state parks I would recommend Claytor Lake.
