Is there any campground like Tom Sawyer farther North?
We love Tom Sawyer but visiting there adds about 600 miles to our return trips to MA. Is there anything like it closer to I/80?

Another plug for COE CGs. Thomson Causeway near Galena, IL is one such, with a few sites (electric hookups only) along the river. There are a couple of county parks on the Iowa side near Dubuque that have riverside sites too, again with electric hookups. We stayed at one (name escapes me); it was a little seedy, IMO, but the view was nice.
