Is Winter Your Summer?

Yep to all. I guess we're snowbirds.

I don't bother going in the sun at home in the summer. i consider my winters RVing in Mexico as summer. My dog actually starts to shed in November each year now.

Ditto Timmac's comment on the desert, it's now in the high '80s days and mid '50s nights and just about the start of "season" for the low desert of nearby Borrego/Ocotillo/glamis - and I'm ready! Being both from 100-degree/100% humidity climates, we did get in some longan picking this past August in Florida. Here are two of my favorite loves, Half Shell Raw Bar in Key West and my darling wife. :B

A definate Yes here. We do get away weekends here but it is not the same as a solid three months. I find that I don't worry about playing golf in the summer because I know I will play like a fool all winter. Right now it is the best of both worlds for us.

This will be our 19th year going to the same Campground and same people return ever year, and we always look forward to seeing them, we have got to know more there that we socialize with then at home, fchammer1 where in Central Pa?? Mifflinburg here , heading south Nov 5th, wish all a good winter

Yes, in a way, winter is our summer. Spring ,summer, and fall, we campground host. In the winter we return to our home state of Florida and rest.

Yes, what I now call the drama. When you're down south the theme is to have fun.

I started laughing here because I was answering the questions as I was reading them, and didn't really know where you going with it all.

We have not yet experienced that feeling but anxiously await the day when we can. However, I have a friend who has been retired for a few years and snowbirds in Florida every year. He told me the other day, "don't know why I come back north, every year. I have nothing but work maintaining the house, mowing the lawn, etc." In the winter (2nd summer) they relax, play golf and all that other fun stuff.

To me, the only time I feel that we're not in 'summer' mode is December and April, the rest of the time we're camping weekends or full time. :C

Last year, we started referring to home in central PA as our "summer place."
