Is Winter Your Summer?

When you head south do you look forward to a vacation from family obligations and a break from the usual chores around the house? When you get close to your destination is their a landmark that you say to yourself I am home? Do you find that your winter friends are in many ways closer to you than the folks where you live in the summer? I think if you say yes you are really a snowbird.
  • Yes
I remember ten or twelve years ago when we first started going to the Florida Keys, and for the first few years I would actually be calling the "winter", summer

  • I am a double snowbird. Love the warm winters and cool summers by traveling between two destinations and both in the same state. Arizona of course. I show up for each season with the snowbirds in the winter and flat landers in the summer.

  • Yep winter time is my summer time, I hate camping in the 110-115 degree temps we have here in Vegas during the summer, winter means more local camping and campfires in our extremely cold 50-65 degree days and nights..
  • Yes. This last summer north was just non-stop chores and work. Now I can relax and enjoy summer again!
