We stayed at East Lake in the Newberry Crater Natl Monument last year. There was so much to see and the fishing was great in early June. There is cell service but you have to drive down to where the waterfall parking lot is. Oh yes, we also got service at the top of the mountain (Paulina Peak). Great views from up there, I think they said you could see 3 states (including OR). Our cousins stayed at Paulina Lake, that's where they fished. I'd love to go back there and have a longer time to go check things out.
