Jellystone at Gloucester Point VA

Well, I made a reservation for a weekend on July 19th and 20th two days ago. Then I went to the doctor and was told I had a brain tumor and needed 6 weeks of radiation. So I called and said can I cancel. We and the kids were going to camp for the weekend and they are still going. I was told that I could not have a refund. Now, I could care less about the 90 dollars in the scheme of things but their attitude just sucks. I will not be going there again. Now the KOA in MD bent over backwards for me and gave me the best site on a weekly rate and said they would help me with anything I needed. Amazing what a little human kindness can do to promote your business. I just told a friend who was planning a rally and now they will be looking at the KOA.

  • I read the thread to pick up on Jellystone news but you are more important. Thinking about you and wishing you well. Camping will always be there waiting for you. Get well soon.:B
  • We discovered Jellystone Campgrounds in the early 80's and thought we went to heaven. Nowadays I wouldn't stop there. Too many have dismal reviews, and I've read too many stories like yours. Prayers headed your way for a complete and speedy recovery. Camp on!
