Jellystone Parks

We've stayed in the Jellystone in Cherokee, NC twice. Each time about 10 years apart. Enjoyed it both times.

Just check the reviews before you go, just like any other campground. Like someone already said, the Sturbridge one is a huge dump and most reviews agree. In NH we use to love the Ashland one, it was clean and had tons of activities. The family sold to a corporation so it is not as nice anymore, few activities, less cleaning and maintenance.

I totally agree with "raindove ". This CG was horrible. Music was blasting from the pool area so loud you couldn't hear TV with the windows closed, there were screaming kids and teenagers ever where with no regard for other campers. Teenagers were walking in thru the maned gate with cases of beer and they partied late into the night. It was so bad we will never stay at another Jellystone park.

We really like Jellystone Park at Marion, NC, near I-40 east of Asheville: jellystonemarion. We visited there with our 8 & 11 year old grandchildren this year after a great time the year before. Their water slide is fantastic so the kids spent lots of time there. But they also enjoyed the planned activities--gaga ball, goodnight to Yogi campfire, movie with new friends they met, dance for kids, pool, mini-golf, etc. We've also done the one in Missoula, MT, and one in IN with them in past years and all have been really good for kids before teens, at least. We are looking at the one in Fremont, IN as potential for next summer. It has won many awards.

Extra cost for all the kids stuff is worth it in our opinion. Lots of activities are included with the price. Going mid-week may also reduce cost.

So because a few of you had one bad experience at one campground, you will never stay at another? that`s like saying "the last time I went camping it was the worst experience, I`m never camping again!" I will not write off a franchise (anyone) after one visit to one place! it takes more than one place to convince me!

I understand what you are saying but there are so many great places to try and this one campground is so bad I can see why some would avoid Jellystones after camping here. The sad thing is when it is inspected, the inspectors do not seem to have an issue withe the place.

It's a resort, not a state park. It's $69/night for FHU, not $90. Yes it is pricey.........but go and you'll find out why.

4 swimming pools, putt-putt, 2 jumping pillows, basketball courts, kids spray park, water slides, golf carts, paddle boats, bumper boats, and on and on.

It's right on an expressway in the middle of nowhere and we went there for a week last year. Ask any of my 3 children and they will tell you hands down without hesitation that this is their favorite campground. It rocks!

We have stayed in several jellystones in about 5 states. I prefer those over KOA. I look for them when making reservations.

We were there yrs ago, our kids new fall coats were stolen there...

I can't help but laugh every time I see a new review from that place on RV parkreviews.

That said the other Jellystone's seem to be decently run.

We have been to the Jellystone Park in Hagerstown, MD. We will never go back again. We took our complaints to Corporate and we were offered coupons to go back. No thanks.
