Jellystone Parks

We are thinking of trying out some Jellystone Parks in our general region. We live in New Jersey. Has anyone been to a Jellystone Park that they really love? I would appreciate any recommendations.
  • Also from NJ. We love the Jellystone in Elmer, NJ. We consider this our "home" one enough though it's almost 3 hours away. www.jellystonenj.com Great Halloween weekends, great splash pool, great staff, etc.

We've also stayed at the Jellystones in Luray, VA; Cosby, TN; Hagerstown, MD. Hagertown is expensive, but there's a lot to do with the waterslides, ziplining, pools, pedal bikes, laser tag, etc.
  • I stayed at the Quarryville, PA site and we had a great time. The ride through Amish Country was an incredible one for our kids to see. The pas (pull thru) was shaded and in a great location. The activities for kids were fun, bounce pillow was also and the other activities to occupy the kids were well organized. The pools were kind of full but never an issue and the lifeguards were actually paying attention. Staff were very hospitable and the grounds were clean. Country store was well stocked and never an issue with anything.

We booked a longer stay next year with friends who are getting a cabin. Can't wait.
  • We stayed on Jellystone in Marion NC one time. It had been raining for weeks. The place was flooded and the roads were rutted. That being said, the staff worked all day everyday trying to keep the place up under those circumstances. I arrived without my wife and the host offered to help me set up or hang with my kids while I worked. Two days later he still knew mine and my kids names! Our kids had a blast and would just assume go there than Disney!
Hands down the best staff at ANY campground we've ever stayed at.
  • I've been to both in Wisconsin and they're great. The one in Southwest WI did get hit by a tornado a few months back though so I don't know if they're rebuilt or what's going on. The one in Wisconsin Dells is not only great, but Wisconsin Dells itself is AMAZING! It's the waterpark capital of the world, and the entire city is filled with with entertainment, restaurants, hotels, etc. Definitely a must-do!

I haven't! I might have to check that one out, too!
  • We have been to Jellystone in western Ny a couple of times and had a great time. Fun for the kids and well run. When quiet hour came it was like someone flipped a switch, everything was quiet.
