If you take I24, Metropolis (IL) is the home of Superman. Nashville has lots of stuff to see and do, I recommend spending at least half a day for a city tour and grab some lunch/dinner at one of the local establishments with live entertainment.

P.S. I just found out about the Alpine Coaster in Gatlinburg, TN. Wish I would have know about it last summer when we were there.
