Jolly Roger Travel park in Marathon Florida

Earlier I had asked about RV parks near Key West and several people recommended the Jolly Roger park. We have reservations coming up there and need some advice. If you have been there, any info on the surrounding area would be greatly appreciated. From looking at Google maps, it looks like there isn't a place to fill up (diesel) within a couple of hundred miles. I'm hoping that is wrong! Also, any close grocery stores?
And also, anything local that is a "must see or do" for people who have never been to the Keys?
Thank you so much!!

I guess I should have said, we usually fill up at truck stops because we have a 38 ft class A and can't fit into every type of station :)
  • Jolly Roger seems like a nice place, last trip we stayed at Sunshine Key, next trip we will try Jolly Roger

You are just talking about the Florida Keys, not Outer Mongolia!

Civilization does exist South of Homestead!

    Yew TELL 'em, Shugah! :B

Meanwhile, +1 on the RaceTrac in Florida City. If you get the fuel pump just inside the entrance, you should have no trouble. Just be aware there is (was?) a "Right Turn Only" sign at the rear exit of the station, forcing you north on Krome Avenue to "make the block" to get back to U.S. 1. I've been told that such signs (from private businesses) cannot be enforced, nor do I know if the local PD is watching.

You will LOVE the Keys... Especially this time of year!
