I lived 35 years in Los Angeles, the last 25 in a 2,000 sq ft house on a 35x100 foot lot with 8 foot separation (wall to wall) from the neighbors on both sides. Now we have a 1200 sq ft house on 10 acres and surrounded by thousands of acres of BLM and State land. The nearest neighbor is almost a mile away as a buzzard flies. And, we are totally off-grid. ;)

Just bought 5 more acres to block a guy that thought he just had to be our neighbor. ;) It's not adjacent, but too close, nonetheless. :D
