kid chopping down live trees?

Okay. I guess I will have to admit that there are some really stupid adults that could do something like this. BUT, I have been camping with some friends and family with kids, where one of the kids just takes a hachet and starts, willy nilly, to cut down a live green tree until they were caught by an adult and stopped. I certainly have never seen an adult do it, at least the adults that I camp with know better.
But to those of you who suggest that a beaver did this is ....., well lets just say there is a quite a bit of difference what a beaver cut looks like and an axe or hachet cut looks like. It may look like one from 30' away. But from 15' there is no doubt.
And to those of you who may think someone was cutting wood for a fire, I already stated that the trees were left lay where they fall. No one tried to drag it to the camp fire. And green wood will only burns in an intenst hot fire. You would be had pressed to start a fire from green wood. You can put it on a really hot fire that is already burning and it mostly just smokes like crazy (that probably the kind of fire Indians made for smoke signals).
