That comment is funny. Those men are from Utah. The thing that is not funny is that this part of the NF is in WY. and I am afraid that the culprit is from Utah. I frequently camp in this area and in this spot when I can, but it is usually occupied by larger groups from Utah with 3-6 rigs, year after year.
Also the reason I think it is a kid is that the size of pine trees that are being slain could easily be cut by an adult in 5-8 chops. But these are hacked on with at least 20 blows. If it were an adult they would be very weak and/or very new to an axe.
