I would have been more angry than you. I once was driving down a residential street with two 10-12 yr old boys going the same direction in the street on their bikes. I followed them for a ways then the one boy on the far right saw me and both got over so I could pass. As I started to pass the boy near the middle darted across the road in front of me and ended up on my hood of my car against the windshield. He was not injured at all and we knew his mother as a member of our Church. She was so thankful that I had been driving so and carefully, so as her son was not hurt. But when I asked for her homeowners insurance to for the $400 deductible for the damage she cooperated but was not happy, but did. We never saw her at our Church again.
