We've used KOA's for over 25 years and never had this problem. We usually check with the campground directly to confirm that we do get the site we need. Only one time was there a screw up with a KOA reservation. I had my two sons with me and we were tent camping. Someone in an RV set up a tent on the site reserved for us. The owner had us set up in his back yard for the three days we were staying. (He had a house on site.) His wife brought my sons cookies each nite we were there. I'll take that customer service anytime. My sons both camp today and they still talk about the service we received at that KOA.
