KOA Reservations vs what you get when you arrive

I will continue to use KOA sites, having said that, On three separate occasions in the past, the "reserved in advance pull thru with toad remaining hitched" spot turned out to be a "un-hitch toad at check out and back out when leaving.

I can't explain why this has happened only at KOAs, and sometimes you don't have a choice.
