So we get our new RV next week and we're trying to figure out where to go on our first adventure! :BWe are in northern KY, right below Cincy, and would like to not go too far way on our first trek out. We would also love to be able to have a spot on the water. !!!We also prefer a campground with full hookups.Any ideas?Thanks bunches! Jules

Little Farm on the river in Rising Sun Indiana is nice, has full hookups, and you can reserve sites on the river. Not very exciting camping, but it would do for a shakedown trip. They have a web site. I don't remember the name, but it comes up if you do a search for Little Farm on the River.

In Friendship, IN there is a flea market which is next door to the National Muzzle Loaders Association Grounds. Both are fun to walk through and see things you may not normally see. Cannons and flea markets might not be our style, but I appreciate the info. :)I'm looking at a place called Norris Lake in TN, which I have heard is nice. I am looking at one campground there, which looks like it has waterfront sites, but their website doesn't have a lot of info.http://www.loystonpoint.com/site-vehicles-equipment/

What size rig are you getting? Loyston Point only has water and electric sites (no sewer at the site) but they do have a dump station. They do not take reservations so I wouldn't try on a weekend unless you arrive on Thursday. It's a TVA property. More info: http://www.tva.com/river/recreation/pdf/norris_rec_matrix.pdfWoodalls says they have 30 amp electric and they close Oct 15th. Site length 40' gravel. I usually look at the campground map, then check it out on www.googlemaps.com earth view and zoom in. That helps me pick a site.
