  • OK - Lake Dillon (Colorado)-I hope you are not too disappointed that most of the shade in the campgrounds has disappeared due to the recent infestation of mountain pine beetle that has killed most of the mature pine trees. Before that infestation we much preferred, and used many time, Heaton Bay cg- just IMHO. Lat time we were there loop C had electric service. No dump site in those cgs but both Breckenridge and Silverthorne sewer treatment plants have public dump sites.

Enjoy one of our favorite parts of Colorado.
  • actually, found the problem. the forest program was
redirecting to another spot, but since the cg name didn't
show, I didn't notice. found the right campgrounds.
thanks. Oh, yes, that's the place.
  • If you are talking about Lake Dillon in Summit County Colorado there are a couple of cgs around the lake/reservoir but they are accessed by county or state highways, not forest service roads and are accessible by trailers. Don't know of any other lake Dillon??? Can you be more specific please.
