I could never understand why folks chose to live in a neighborhood with a Home Owners Association, but they do and seem to like living by others rules. Seems your CG is similar, you don't like it but many must if the reviews are to be believed. Just don't go back, vote with the feet.
By the way, welcome to the forum. Maybe if you had come here before and asked about the campground you would have gotten different reviews. Please do as Dog Folks suggest and post somewhere it will actually help someone.
The OP witnessed AND experienced discourteous and rude treatment by employees of the CG! The post has nothing to do with HOAs, OR not liking the rules of the CG!
To the OP, and a couple others:
I returned from a trip through Houston and San Antonio, Texas recently, and experienced some iron-fisted, acting employees at at least two of the RV parks I either stayed at, or enquired at in-perspn about their rates and payment policies.
I am growing weary of office personel that seems irritated and impatient when being asked questions about their rates, check-in, and check-out times/procedures.
I think I will start writing emails to RV park owners, when I feel that I am being mistreated by any particular office help - the trouble is, is that sometimes the worst offenders of discourtesy shown to calm and courteous RVers, are the RV/CG owners themselves!
It sure makes Walmarts seem attractive with their 'no-hassle' policies versus some of the rude RV park treatment given to paying customers.
