Lake Ontario or 1000 islands

We just bought our 1st motor home this weekend, and are planning on a long weekend to either Lake Ontario or 1000 Islands in July..we have a smaller trip close to home planned for May but would like some Campground info for July preferably something with lake front lots.

    We liked Association Island at Henderson Harbor and Merry Knoll in Clayton.

    Wellesley Island State Park and Grass point state park are excellent with either waterfront or close to the water

    Kring point state park, and grass point are nice in the 1000 islands. Also look at association island KOA near Henderson Harbor , some neat spots on Lake Ontario!

    X2 for Robert Moses SP on the St Lawrence near Massena. A really nice park! The Association Island KOA near 1000 Islands is nice enough, but the sites are a bit too close together for our liking. On Lake Ontario, our favorite is Four Mile Island SP near Niagara Falls.

    Cedar point state park, located at the mouth of the St. Lawrence and lake Ontario, has water and electric sites, with a dump station, Book thru passport America. Book Early as they fill up fast for the summer

    Didn't stay at KOA, but lots of other nice Campgrounds. Try PassportAmerica.
