And at $35-40, you're getting into Motel 6 territory. In fact, down in South Padre Island (South Texas) in December a few years ago, during the week some motel rooms were cheaper than our RV space, and it was just an unpleasant FHU spot in a parking lot.
$44 is pretty much what I'd expect the daily rate at Lake Pleasant to be these days. Paying a monthly rate is an exception for us because we like to be more flexible than that, but this was an exception because we were killing some time. And we had no idea they'd extend the stay at that rate for however many days we wanted until our month was almost up and we asked about the options.
But I just remembered that this was in the winter, and I vaguely recall that they may not offer monthly rates at all during the summer.
