We stayed at the KOA at Sam's Town last week. It was okay, but a little pricey. The price we reserved online for was several dollars less than the actual price upon check in. The internet is only good in the office and they charge if you want service in the rest of the park. There are two lots and we were in the second lot away from the Casino. It was quiet and seemed a little less alive than the main lot. Both have decent showers and pools. The site was level and the cable was fine. We had no real complaints other than the price for an average gravel site KOA.
You describe "the second lot away from the casino". Is this what they would call the North or South lot? I've tried to figure it out by looking at Google Maps images but all I can only discern one lot. (with the circular parking pattern in the middle)
Sam's Town KOA MapYou're also saying WiFi IS NOT included in the prices quoted online?
We normally don't consider Las Vegas to be an RV destination. We go so infrequently, and usually for concerts, conventions, or work seminars (though we're both now retired), that we've always booked an upgraded suite and pretended to be rich for a few days. We're going for a concert in October, and with the kids all moved away from home, have no one to watch the dogs so we're taking them with us in the motor home.
I've looked at Oasis and others but thought it might be nice to be next to a casino with all of the amenities, restaurants, etc., nearby.
