Looking for recommendations for group of 4 to go from Las Vegas strip area to Grand Canyon south rim. A stop at Hoover Dam would work as well...

For the best Grand Canyon experience I'd recommend you stay in the park itself at Trailer Village. It has recently been paved, it is a short walk to the canyon rim and you can catch the free shuttle just outside the campground. Here are some pictures and information:
