Lawson's Landing Campground in N. California?

Question

Lawson's Landing Campground by Tomales Bay in Northern California. Just wondering if anyone has stayed there recently--my husband has been there and wants to go this weekend. I tried reading Yelp reviews and they were mostly negative. It sounds awful--someone compared it to Burning Man! A lot of the reviews were a few years old however.
I just want to go somewhere in this new-to-us motorhome but I am not really up for a big party place and I don't think my 2 large dogs would be either. My husband wants to fish and clam if possible...
Anyone stayed there recently?

If you go on a three day weekend you won't be alone. We could almost walk across the area going from the top of one RV to another they were so tightly packed in. But, it is right on the water and a beautiful area if you don't mind neighbors.

Its been a couple years since i have been there but it was always good. Never a problem with it being a party spot and its changed alot because of the nanny coastal commission telling them what they can do with their own property.
