One of the worst things you could is leave the ac while unattended for the summer.
You will have days when the dew point is lower than the temp inside and condensation will occur under the aluminum or Fiberglas sheeting. Rapid deterioration of the particle board occurs causing delamination and soft floors.
Warm and dry is far superior to cool and wet.
