Warm and dry is far superior to cool and wet.
The summer weather in South Texas is hot, not simply warm. Day after day in triple digits with another 20-30 degrees inside the tin boxes. I tell my buddies to leave the AC on at ninety five degrees. Last summer that cost a friend about $20/month to keep it under one hundred degrees. Money well spent, I think.
