Legalized weed in Colorado - impact on campgrounds

Obviously with the legalization of recreational weed in Colorado, will it be allowed to be used openly in state and federal campgrounds?

I personally don't care what consenting adults do behind their closed doors, but how will the laws be enforced within these campgrounds? I've booked a week at Ridgeway this summer and I don't want to have to worry about my family being impacted by a bunch of potential stoners camping around me. I highly doubt it will be a issue, but I just kinda want to know what to expect.

  • I don't know and don't really care either way, but my thoughts would be that I would rather have a stoner that wants to eat and sleep camping beside of me than a drunk that wants to yell and fight camping beside me.

    Just my $.02 worth.
  • It was my understanding from the news that 'public' consumption was illegal.
  • My mom used to say at least kids with weed don't puke on their shoes.

Yep. Have to agree with both parts of this message. Adding more and more legal ways for people to "zone out" can't be good long term.
  • It's still a violation of federal law, so I wouldn't expect the national parks to allow it.
