Length question for Yellowstone

I've been reading and investigating Yellowstone all morning. My trailer is 35' nose to tail (bumper pull). My truck and trailer are 58' combined. Fishing Bridge looks like would be my only option due to the ability to park the truck next to the trailer. It appears the other campgrounds are only single width and would not accommodate my total length. Can some Yellowstone veterans chime in? I'm not even sure Fishing Bridge will work by the wording on their web site:

"RV/Vehicle combination, 40' total length or less"

Can anyone with experience speak to my sizes and the reservation capable campgrounds at Yellowstone.

Thanks
  • We tend to visit Yellowstone at least once a year, often showing friends or family around. The last couple years the "official" line at the reservation desk is that the max length for anyplace but fishing bridge is 40 ft combined length max. There are few spot you could probably fit it, but they hard to find, and in the busy season hard to come by. Of course you can't reserve them either. Also, in the last couple years the park rangers have been driving around ticketing people who have a tire off the pavement be it the RV or the tow vehicle. Years ago I never saw anyone having issues of that sort.
  • IMHO...there are only a few spaces you'll fit into and they weren't very level...we wouldn't fit anyway but we took the toad through to see what the CG looked like. We enjoyed Grizzly RV CG in West Yellowstone Montana..about 5 miles from the West Entrance. They have lots of things to do for the kids and it's a short walk into town. We came in from the East..(Cody) and exited the West and we are 65' nose to tail so you'll have no problem getting through Yellowstone.....Dennis
